There's a farm near where I live with sheep...and I love going by to look and snap a picture. It's beautiful almost any season, spring is the best. But winter with snow and fog isn't bad either.
I have been kind of a lost soul in 2013, so far on blogging. I've taken a full-time (unpaid) job as a Patriot writing every single day for an audience of over 56 thousand people on a Facebook page...
Although I am happy to do my duty, and I do think of it as a patriotic one, it wears me out. I am part of an anonymous staff, and do my best to pull my weight over there as best I can, pumping out news that the mainstream, lame stream, antique alphabet media won't tell. They are purposeful in their propaganda, so we must then be purposeful in exposing them.
Our country is at a crossroads, I believe, with action needed soon to save her from certain and intentional destruction. If anyone can't see what is ahead, I do hope they will pry their eyes open and see the truth of where we are being intentionally driven...like so many sheep.
I am doing my best to see things for what they truly are, and because of that, I feel I've neglected my own cozy little blog somewhat. (My spammers still show up every.single.day. I wish they'd find someone else to go annoy!)
Spring is coming soon and I hope my post-election and winter doldrums will lift and I will be much more inspired to do what I love to do over here.
The election knocked my head sideways, and slapped the slobber right out of my mouth, and it took me a few months to regroup and now I am taking more, bigger action. I prayed for something to do. When this opportunity came, I believed it was the answer.
I hope that can you understand that the country needs us, this band of patriotic writers with fire in our bellies and defiance in our "pens" that take the words of truth to the people... with "pen being the internet every day.
I look at what we do as similar to the work of the Committees of Correspondence that were instrumental in the first American Revolution. If we are to regain our republic, we must fight for it, freedom isn't something that is passive, it must chased after and must be fought for.
But can I tell you something? It wears a person out to be immersed in what is mostly bad news all day long. Reading it, posting it, commenting on it.
The best way I can describe being immersed in this bad news market that we've got going is this: Stand against a brick wall while a cannon is being aimed straight at you and full force you're hit over and over with the vilest stinky sludge...literally every day.
So this is all to say, that although I am writing less here, I am not writing less. Just writing for a different purpose. I hope you understand and stick with me, for I am not going away, just taking more time out than I usually do in service of our country. I post an average of only three times a week here. :)
Along the way, I am trying to read as much and learn as much about Dr. Ben Carson as I can. I think he is a modern-day "Common Sense" patriot in the tradition of Thomas Paine. He is something else; just the sort of boost we needed to give hope when all seems hopeless.
I'd been watching/hearing and learning of him before his National Prayer Breakfast declarations, and now I am fully immersed in learning all I can about him. He speaks, with learned wisdom, courageously, for US--that is, WE THE PEOPLE.
And no matter what happens, I will always be thankful for his boldness in doing that for WE THE PEOPLE in the honor and tradition of our Founders.
His story is so inspiring: buy GIFTED HANDS for the life story or watch the movie made based on his book by the same name, or read America the Beautiful for his ideas on common sense in government.

Find something that you can DO to help save our country ... our fighting men are not here to do it for us, we can only rely on ourselves.

We still have heroes, the right kind of men and women who don't have feet of clay. I admire Dr. Carson. I assume you've seen the Inaguration Day Prayer Breakfast speaker, Rabbi Jonathan Cahn (hope I spelled his name right). He exposed the folly of this nation that day as well --- very powerfully. The speech is on You Tube, and it's my prayer that more people see it. Have a blessed day, Joni, and thank you for what you are doing.
It is truly a fight against evil. O is truly evil. Sorry but anyone that takes us down this path does not have good intentions. My kids as homeschooled teens had to read Gifted Hand years ago. An assignment by their biology teacher so we knew of him but had no idea he was a patriot. Sadly the young in this country have been brain washed. He is dragging them down a path of dependence. It is a drug they are addicted to. Thank God for homeschooled kids like mine and others who can think for themselves and see what is happening and know what is right. We are feeling very overwhelmed and sad here though as without a miracle, an awakening, this country will not survive.

I enjoy your blog and share your deep concerns for our country. However there is one thing for sure: God's plan will prevail! He even uses the wrath of men to praise Him. The more wicked the world, the closer we are to Christ's coming when all true believers will be taken out of this mess. I anxiously await that day.
You are an excellent writer and can understand why you would write for the Patriots. Our church is praying for a revival throughout America. We just don't understand how the liberals can be so very stupid (brainwashed) to think their kids won't suffer from their evil intentions. NBC is the very worse Obama lover. We do not watch anything on that channel. Only watch local news on CBS and FOX and get the truth from Fox cable news. What an evil, evil, self-centered administration that heathen is running.
Thank you for being such a great patriotic person and using your time to try and counter-balance the lies coming out from the media. We too were kicked in the gut after the election and I have stopped really thinking Common Sense will prevail; or that people will finally see what is happening. How can Obama keep getting these breaks from being held accountable or keep getting people to believe in what he is doing is for all our good. You are doing a great deed Joni! You are such an inspiration. I'm praying you can just touch even half the brainwashed liberals. The devil is working overtime in our country and hopefully enough of us praying, speaking out, and believing in our country will save it from more evil and destruction.

Hi, Joni! This proves that not all heroes wear uniforms. You are doing a wonderful thing in your pursuits and I hope that people wake up and smell the coffee. What is going on is indeed frightening and the most frightening part is that I don't think people realize it. Unless people listen to the conservative media stations, they don't really know. I listen to it and it is bone chillingly alarming but my mantra is "ignorance is bliss but knowledge is power". I still have faith that God is watching over us and His will will prevail.
I ordered Gifted Hands last week.
I saw part of Dr. Carson's speech at the Prayer Breakfast the day it took place, and was SO impressed. I loved that he had the courage to speak the truth, standing near a frowning Obama. How refreshing!
I also noticed how down to earth Dr.Carson is,how unpretentious he is. He was on Hannity's program, and he was wearing a suit that was obviously approaching vintage. He isn't a "peacock" like most of our politicians. We need someone like Dr. Carson to run this country. We need to get back to basics. We need common sense. We need honesty and courage.

Joni, I liked what I saw by Dr. Carson speaking at the Prayer Breakfast and thought he was wonderful.
Years ago, I saw a program about his mom and how she would stand holding her sons book reports as if she were reading along nodding her head as to agree. She didn't know how to read and asked God for wisdom on how to handle her 2 sons. Benjamin was failing school. God dropped this idea into her head for her to have her sons write book reports.
God will help us with what we're going through.

The elections threw a lot of people for a loop. I wasn't very happy about the turn out. Keep on keeping on and by golly gosh....he'd better not get his way with a third term.
You hang in there and write away. People need to hear what you have to say. You have a VOICE.
